I thought I would mention a couple of things that not only will make you more productive when doing home repairs but also will help your Handyman to get a quicker start when he arrives at your home.
Sometimes home owners will just call a Handyman when something breaks, Right ? And there not much thought put into anything but the task at hand. Sometimes that may cost you more money in the long run, Why you ask. Well If you only have your local handyman come out for just that one item, in most cases he will need to charge you at least a minimum charge to cover his cost even if it were just to replace a light bulb.
The thing to do before you pick up the phone is to sit down just for a moment or two and make a list of things that need attention. You will find that maybe there are more things you need done after all. And now that your handyman is on his way you can get some of these things taken care of and it keeps things in order.
You may even want to ask him if he could check around the house and see if there are things that need addressing that you may have been overlooking. And we all know that it is better to catch things early than later.
I truly think this is a helpful action for everyone. Keep it in mind the next time you call your Local Handyman.
