Interior Painting
Our decades of experience have taught us best practices for interior painting. We make sure to provide a beautifully painted room while minimizing the impact to the homeowner’s life. We are conscientious and careful to protect your home and belongings, understanding that we are spending time in your home with you and your family. And our owner, Paul Kerr is always on the job site to make sure you are pleased and comfortable.

The first thing we do is discuss the details of the project with you and agree on the final result. We are happy to help you choose textures, colors, best brands of paint, etc. We enjoy discussing the painting process and let you know how you can help us. This may include clearing the area of your valuables before we start the project.

We then begin our preparation. If the surfaces that will be painted need cleaning or repair, such as patching or sanding, we can do that. We can move your furniture out of the way and cover all other exposed surfaces. Once the preparation is complete, we start painting. When we are finished painting, we clean up our mess and replace all your furnishings back to their original position. We do our best to make the project stress-free and complete it quickly. The sooner we finish, the sooner you’ll be able to get back to normal.

Exterior Painting
When it comes to exterior painting, there are fewer things to move around and protect, but just as many things to keep in mind. Preparing for outside painting always involves cleaning. The fact is that you can’t just paint over dirt and dust, so it is necessary to have all surfaces clean to get good results. We will pressure wash the exterior before we examine and repair any rotten wood, loose boards, cracks, and peeling paint. We can also evaluate doors, windows, siding, and trim to see if any need attention or replacing. If your house needs repairs, we can do those first, before we start to paint. Once we begin painting, we use high quality products that will protect your investment and make your home look beautiful.

What is your schedule and how long will my project take?

Don’t just get a start date and an end date; get completion dates for items along the way. This helps you know when workers will be at your house and helps to keep the project on schedule.
What will my project cost and can I get it itemized in writing?

Obviously, it is important to get a cost for your project before work begins, but you should also know whether the prices are an estimate or an actual final cost. Getting the costs itemized also helps in case you decide to remove a piece or need to decrease the overall budget. And getting it in writing assures that there are no misunderstandings.
Who will be working at my house every day?

Some companies will send a salesman to sell you the job but then you never see him again. Make sure the person you review your project with, will also be on the job site to ensure your desires are met. It is also good to know who to expect inside your home on any given day.
How will you protect my property?

Will the company you hire use dust containment measures during demolition? Will they make sure drop cloths are down before sanding or painting begins? Will the construction area be isolated from the rest of your home? Will they be careful when moving any of your belongings? And will they remove all their mess when they are done?
What is the best way to communicate with you?

With so many options for communication, it can seem impossible to have a conversation with your contractor. Find the best method for reaching your contact person and ask to learn how long it generally takes them to return calls.
What happens if I need to make a change?

If you need to make a change to the work you have agreed to, ask the contractor to let you know immediately if it will change the cost and the timeline. This is best done in writing to avoid any mistakes or miscommunications.
